Social Security Compass Europe

Customer: Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs
Agency: heimbüchel PR GmbH
This project was an overhaul of the Social Security Compass Europe, which existed in printed form only up until 2010. Now the data of the compass was presented on a website with a searchable database, making it easy to compare the different social security systems in all European countries on 15 different topics, including work benefits, motherhood, rent, healthcare and much more. The website also contained a huge link section leading to all sorts of helpful links regarding social security in all european countries, as well as a regularly updated news section, a historical overview and a help section, also available in Easy Language and in sign language.
The online database was accompanied by books (usually severall hundred pages strong) that offered insights and backgrounds to the collected data, often used by schools in lessons about social security. They were avaiblable in german and english and updated once or twice a year.
My role:
• Overlooking the publications to the project
• Communication with stakeholders
• Photo research and editing
• Creating graphics and tables
